The King of Rock & Roll was known for his late night hankering for Peanut Butter. His favorite sandwich was the slightly unusual pairing of Peanut Butter, Banana and Bacon on toasted bread. There is a famous story of Elvis flying him and his crew to Denver, Colorado after a gig to consume 22 Fools Gold Sandwiches - a behemoth itself. This was in 1976. Long before that, in the year of '59 the lore is that Elvis worked the South Florida circuit. By then, our house at 2715 Manatee Avenue West had already been standing for 48 years. Home to many comers and goers, some claim that Elvis himself laid his head down in a cozy bed in THIS very house after a concert on the beach. Furthermore, friends and family report that he had woken up in the middle of the night with the grand idea for a midnight snack - The Elvis Burger. A Prime Rib and Angus blend of Beef over Caramelized Banana and topped with a Peanut Butter Chili Sauce and Bacon of course. He made it, he ate it, and he never stopped thinking about it. We believe this story to be true, but the flight records can't be found. Now, the most famous lizard in the world, Godzilla, has been terrorizing Japan for decades. He isn't often seen off the warm coasts of Florida. However, some eye witnesses place Elvis catching a ride into town on Godzilla's shoulders in '59 via The Manatee River. There is a burger for that, too. Join us every Tuesday for Classic, Creative and down right wacky Burger creations.
